The Third Logos – Adam Kadmon
Adam Kadmon
(Hebrew)
Archetypal
Man; Humanity. The“Heavenly Man” not fallen into sin; Kabalists refer it to the
Ten Sephiroth onthe plane of human perception.
In the
Kabalah Adam Kadmon is the manifested Logos corresponding to our Third Logos; the
Unmanifested being the first paradigmic ideal Man, and symbolizingthe Universe
in abscondito, or in its “privation” in the Aristotelean sense. The First Logos
is the “Light of the World”, the Second and the Third—its graduallydeepening
shadows.
